Dayton Gems News Release
Dayton, OH- The Dayton Gems will host the Colorado Eagles for the first time in team history this Friday, November 5th and Saturday, November 6th at Hara Arena. Both games will begin at 7:30 p.m. and feature some exciting promotional offers for fans attending the games.
Friday's game is the first Student ID Night and will also feature the first Trading Card Set giveaway of the season. Student ID Night applies to all high school and college students ages 14 and older. Students with proof of a student ID (must have ID to receive offer at box office), are eligible for a buy-one get-one free ticket offer at the Hara Arena box office the night of the game (Friday games only all season long). Also for Friday's game, the first 1,000 fans through the door will receive set number one of four in the trading card set giveaways this season. The players listed in the first set of trading cards (Jonathan Ornelas, Mike Vaskivuo, Tim Hartung, Ernie Stewart and Chris Lipsett) will be available to sign autographs after the game.
Saturday's game will feature the only KIDS EAT FREE night of the season. All kids 12 and under will receive a voucher good for one FREE regular-sized hot dog, small pop and small popcorn (limit one per child).
Dayton currently trails Colorado in the Turner Conference Standings by just two points. The Gems have played one game fewer than the Eagles this season, Colorado has played six games (5-1-0 record) while the Gems have played five games (4-1-0 record). Game one of the two-game weekend series on Friday, could put the Gems in a tie for first place with a win over the Eagles, which would set up a terrific matchup on Saturday in a battle for elite status in the Conference and owning first place all to themselves. Dayton is looking for their fourth straight win on the season and third straight at home.
Season tickets are on sale now! Full and partial ticket plans are available. For more information call the Gems offices at 937-275-7777 or log onto our website at www.daytongems.com .
