Thunder Make Roster Moves

Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have made three roster moves in advance of their game tomorrow with Wheeling. The Thunder have signed forward Terrence Wallin to a Standard Player Contract and have traded goaltender Jacob DeSerres to the Alaska Aces for future considerations. Additionally, forward Mitchell Heard has been recalled by the Stockton Heat of the AHL.
Wallin, 23, is currently in his first professional season with the Peoria Rivermen of the SPHL, where he has collected 23 points (12-11-23) in 33 games played. Wallin's 12 goals rank tied for second on the Peoria roster. A native of Yardley, PA, Wallin had previously played four seasons of collegiate hockey with UMass-Lowell of Hockey East, where he amassed 50 points (16-34-50) in 138 career games played. Wallin was a member of the Riverhawks' first ever Frozen Four team in 2013 and had a career high 25 points (8-17-25) during the 2011 season.
Deserres, 25, appeared in one game with Adirondack on Tuesday, when he surrendered four goals on 11 shots after he entered the game in relief of Kent Simpson midway through the second period. In 13 games in the ECHL over the past two seasons with the Thunder and Colorado Eagles, Deserres is 2-7-1 with a .878 save percentage and a 2.93 goals against average this season, highlighted by a 19-save shutout against Rapid City on October 28.
Heard, 23, heads to Stockton for the second time this season, after he appeared in four games with the Heat from late December into early January. Heard collected his first AHL point of the season, an assist, against the Ontario Reign on December 29. Heard leaves Adirondack as the team's second leading scorer with 32 points (12-20-32) over 33 games played. Heard currently leads all Thunder skaters in assists (20), plus/minus (+17) and penalty minutes (114).
