(Trenton, NJ)- Portland got a home run and four RBI from C Dusty Brown and took advantage of three Trenton errors in a 5-2 win over the Thunder at Waterfront Park on Wednesday night. The loss snapped Trenton's five-game win streak.

The Thunder (71-50) grabbed a 2-0 lead in the 2nd Inning with a run scoring on an error by 1B Aaron Bates and the other coming home on a fielder's choice. But Portland (63-56) took the lead with three straight hits in the 4th Inning off Thunder starter Chase Wright. The third being a three-run homer by Brown, his 9th of the season, for a 3-2 lead. In that inning, Thunder MGR Tony Franklin and 2B Gabe Lopez were ejected for arguing "balls & strikes" with Home Plate Umpire Mark Buchanon.

Wright (4-2) took the loss allowing three runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings. He walked five and struck out two. Trenton pitchers walked eight in the game. Sea Dogs pitchers issued three walks. Their starter, Tommy Hottovy, worked six innings for the win. Hottovy (3-8) allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and one strikeout.

Portland then added two unearned runs in the 7th Inning. With two men on and one out, Sea Dogs 3B Andrew Pinckney hti a ball back to the mound at reliever Michael Gardner. But his throw went into centerfield, allowing one run to score. A second scored later on a fielder's choice. The Sea Dogs then got three scoreless innings of relief to seal the win with Mike James collecting his 20th save in the ninth.

The series wraps up on Thursday at 7:05 PM. Alan Horne (11-4, 2.66) starts for Trenton against Portland's Justin Masterson (4-1, 2.86).
