ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves take on the Reading Phillies (Philadelphia Phillies) in the middle game of a three-game series at First Energy Stadium. The SeaWolves dropped the series opener in Reading on Tuesday night 8-6. The team has dropped three straight against the R-Phils and have not won a game in Reading this season. Last night's loss also gave Reading the season series win against Erie. Reading is one of only two teams to win a season series against Erie in 2007, the other was New Hampsire. Reading is also the only team in the Southern Division to hold a winning record against the 'Wolves...Last night's loss puts the SeaWolves at two games behind first place Akron who downed Harrisburg 7-3. The 'Wolves lost ground on third place Bowie who was victorious over Connecticut 4-2. The Baysox are 3.5 games behind Erie. The 'Wolves remain 4.5 games up on fourth place Altoona...LHP Jon Connolly takes the mound tonight for the 'Wolves. Connolly has dropped his last two outings, both against Connecticut. In his most recent outing, Connolly went 2.2 innings, allowing four runs on three hits. He is 0-1 against Reading...The Phillies send RHP Carlos Carrasco to the hill. Carrasco is making his 11th appearance since being called up from Class-A Clearwater. He took a loss in his last outing in Trenton going 1.2 innings, allowing seven runs, five earned, on five hits with six walks and no strikeouts. Carrasco is 1-0 with a no-decision in two appearances against the SeaWolves.
