The All-Star Game is just the beginning of an exciting weekend of baseball and fun - the Double A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, the Portland Sea Dogs, come to Trenton for four games starting on Thursday, July 16. Fireworks, a special cancer awareness and remembrance night and a glove giveaway are just some of the events happening during the weekend - check out the This Homestand At A Glance Segment to the right for more details. Limited Seats Remain For All-Star Game / Rosters Updated
The Thunder will host the 2009 Eastern League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 15th. Stadium seats are now sold out with the exception of a limited number of seats in the "New Picnic Area" along the left field line. Standing Room Only tickets are also available. MORE
Seven members of the Thunder were named to the Northern Division squad: Zach McAllister, Jorge Vazquez, Eduardo Nunez, Reegie Corona, Jesus Montero, Michael Dunn and Josh Schmidt. Montero was added as a replacement due to an injury to Binghamton's Josh Thole. Dunn was added as a replacement for injured NH Fisher Cat Reidier Gonzalez. ROSTERS Home Run Derby Participants
HR Derby
The Trenton Thunder announced the participants and other details for the Yankees-Steiner Collectibles Home Run Derby that will take place prior to the Eastern League All-Star Game on July 15th in Trenton, NJ.
The Home Run Derby will begin at approximately 4:45 PM and will feature Past, Present and Future sluggers. Participants will include Eastern League All-Stars, local High School All-Stars and a former Major Leaguer. Slugger Jorge Vazquez will represent the Thunder.
