(Portland, ME)---Fisher Cats pitchers Marty McLeary and Leon Boyd combined to hold the Sea Dogs to one run on six hits through seven innings, but Portland scored three in the bottom of the eighth and put away New Hampshire 4-0 Friday night.

McLeary (1-2), making his fifth start of the season, allowed just three hits and one run in five innings.

Portland (42-44) opened the scoring in the bottom of the third inning. Josh Reddick walked, moved to second on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Jorge Jimenez to make it 1-0.

Sea Dogs starter Jarod Plummer (7-4), who beat the Fisher Cats for the fourth time this season, blanked New Hampshire on four hits over six innings to pick up the win. Tommy Hottovy and Bryce Cox worked three innings of scoreless relief with Cox picking up his sixth save.

Leading 1-0, Portland scored three in the bottom of the eighth inning, with one run scoring on an error and two others on a single by Josh Reddick (2-for-4, 2 RBI) with the bases loaded. New Hampshire (39-48) loaded the bases on two walks and a hit-by-pitch in the top of the ninth, but Cox got Luis Sanchez to hit into a fielders choice which ended the game.
