Three Vipers Players And Coaching Staff Named To All-Star Team

MCALLEN, TEXAS - The NBA Development League announced today that Rio Grande Valley Vipers forwards Mike Harris and Joey Dorsey, guard Antonio Anderson, head coach Chris Finch, assistant coaches Paul Mokeski and Jai Steadman and athletic trainer/strength and conditioning coach Joe Resendez have been named to the Western Conference All-Star Team.

The NBA Development League All-Star game will take place on February 13 at 2:00 p.m. on Center Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas at the Dallas Convention Center. The game will be aired live on NBA TV, which be found on channel 310 on Time Warner Cable, 402 on Dish Network and 216 on DirecTV.

Harris, who earned a GATORADE Call-Up to the Rockets on December 23, was re-acquired by the Vipers on January 8, is averaging 27.6 points, 11.9 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 11 games while shooting 59.5% from the field since returning. After recording nine double-doubles, including 48 points and 24 rebounds at Dakota on January 17, Harris earned NBA Development League Player of the Month honors yesterday. Overall, Harris entered today's action second in the league in scoring (26.7 points per game), fourth in rebounding (9.6) and fourth in field goal percentage (.585). Harris also earned NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played from January 11-through-17.

Dorsey, who was assigned to the Vipers on November 13, averaged 14.9 points, 13.3 rebounds (second in the league) and 1.38 blocks per game. He also led the league in field goal percentage (64.7%), rebounds per 48 minutes (20.2) and ranked 20th in blocks per 48 minutes (2.1) while recording nine double-doubles. Dorsey was recalled by the Houston Rockets on January 13 and will be eligible to play if he is reassigned to the Vipers before the game.

Anderson entered today's action averaging 15.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, a team-high 6.0 assists (seventh in the league) and 1.1 steals per game. He is one of only two Vipers to start every game this season. Anderson was named NBA Development League Player of the Month for December after averaging 18.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 48.9% from the field and leading the Vipers to an 8-2 record. Anderson also earned NBA Development League Performer of the Week honors for games played between December 28 and January 3.

In his 13th season as a professional head coach, Finch recorded his 400th career-win on Friday against the Sioux Falls Skyforce and entered today's action with a career-record of 401-184 (.685). He has led the Vipers to a 20-6 (.769) record so far, best in the Western Conference, and is two wins away from breaking the Vipers single-season wins mark and becoming the winningest head coach in team history. Finch, who is also the head coach of the British National Team, will coach against Iowa Energy (22-6) head coach Nick Nurse, who is Finch's assistant in Great Britain. The Vipers swept the season series with the Energy by winning two games in Iowa on January 9 and 10.

Mokeski and Steadman are in their first season with the Vipers while Resendez is in his third season.
