
Mustafa Shakur Named Western Conference All-Star

Tulsa, Okla., February 2, 2010 - Tulsa 66ers point guard Mustafa Shakur has been named to the Western Conference All-Star team the NBA D-League announced today.
"I am extremely honored to be part of the NBA D-League and NBA All-Star Weekend activities," Shakur said. "I am humbled to represent the 66ers and our organization as an All-Star. I give credit to my teammates and coaches for their support."
Through 25 games, Shakur is averaging 19.6 points, 6.4 assists and 2.1 steals per contest, ranking in the top 10 in the league in all three categories.
"Mustafa has shown great leadership both on and off the court this season, and he has worked hard to earn this recognition," 66ers Head Coach Nate Tibbetts said. "We are thrilled to have him represent the 66ers during NBA All-Star Weekend.
The fourth annual NBA D-League All-Star Game will be played on Saturday, Feb. 13 at NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas. The game will tip off at 2 p.m. CT on Jam Session's Center Court and will be shown live on NBA TV.
Twenty of the NBA D-League's top prospects were selected to be All-Stars by a combination of fan balloting on nba.com/dleague and voting by the league's 16 head coaches. The two 10-man teams will be divided by conference with the West team playing host to the East team in Dallas. Players who have been selected by coaches and fans must be on an active NBA D-League roster to compete in the NBA D-League All-Star game.
