Three Transactions As Grizzlies Arrive In Stockton

Stockton, California - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that forward James Sixsmith has returned to the team from the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. In addition, Rob Hennigar has been reassigned by the New York Islanders to Bridgeport and Mike Walsh has been loaned to Grand Rapids.

The Grizzlies are proud to be the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport.

Sixsmith has played two games with Utah amidst three AHL call-ups since December 27. With the Grizzlies this season in 30 games, Sixsmith has 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points. He has played 34 games in the AHL this year with Bridgeport and Milwaukee; tallying four goals and four assists. Friday in Bridgeport, he recorded a third period game-winning goal in the Sound Tigers 2-1 win over Worcester.

Hennigar was assigned to Utah by the Islanders on December 30 and has led the league in scoring since that time with 15 goals and 44 assists for 59 points in 38 games. The rookie has also led the league in plus-minus rating at a +24.

Walsh heads to Grand Rapids for the second time this year after rejoining Utah March 3. Overall with the Grizzlies this season, the Michigan native has 13 goals and 22 assists in 48 games.

The Grizzlies have one game this weekend Friday in Stockton. Face-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

Utah returns home to complete the regular season Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4 when they will host Alaska at the E-Center. Face-off both evenings is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
