
Stockton's Bates Suspended One Game, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it has suspended Stockton right
wing James Bates for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount as a
result of his actions during ECHL Game #535 against Victoria on Mar. 24.
Bates was assessed a major penalty and a Game Misconduct for Boarding at
0:16 of the second period.
He is suspended and fined under Rule 29 Supplemental Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and
the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the
ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Bates will miss Stockton's game vs. Utah (Mar. 27).
