Johnstown Chiefs News Release
IT'S TIME AGAIN TO GET IN THE GAME...and support the Johnstown Chiefs by donating blood at their upcoming American Red Cross Blood Cup Challenge against rival ECHL team the Wheeling Nailers.
The Challenge blood drive takes place Monday, March 30, from Noon to 6 p.m. at the Cambria County War Memorial. The Wheeling Nailers will host a blood drive in Wheeling as well and the team that gets the most donors to come in toward the goal of each drive will win the Red Cross Blood Cup for the year! Help us bring it home to Johnstown where it belongs!
All presenting donors will be entered into a raffle to win Johnstown Chiefs Playoff tickets as well as other cool prizes from the Chiefs!
About 40% of the population is eligible to donate, but unfortunately, only about 5% actually do. This isn't enough. Help to save the lives of hospital patients in your own community and support your hometown team in the Red Cross Blood Challenge on March 30.
Individuals of at least 17 years of age (16 years with parental consent packet), weigh at least 110 lbs. and are in generally good health can donate blood. For more information or to schedule an appointment please call 1-800-GIVE LIFE.
Thank you in advance for your support of the community and hope to see you there!
