Zebulon, NC --- Gaby Sanchez, Chris Coghlan and John Raynor were each named to the Southern League post-season all-star team, the Southern League announced on Thursday.

Sanchez, who also was named Southern League Most Valuable Player, is hitting .320 with 17 home runs and a career-high 88 RBIs. Sanchez is third in the league in hits, first in doubles, first in on-base percentage and second in extra base hits.

Coghlan has been flirting with .300 all season, and was named a mid-season all-star. Coghlan ranks second on the team with 70 RBI, and second in the Southern League in stolen bases.

Raynor, who was the MVP of the South Atlantic League in 2007, is hitting .313 with a career-best 13 home runs, while leading the Southern League with 100 runs scored and 47 bases. Raynor needs one more steal to match Elvis Pena's single-season record of 48 set in 2000.

RHPs Ryan Tucker and Willie Glen, who warranted strong consideration to the post-season All-Star team, were not included.

In other league awards, Mississippi manager Phil Wellman was named Manager of the Year, while Braves RHP Todd Redmond earned Most Outstanding Pitcher.
