Montgomery Biscuits Make Roster Transaction

MONTGOMERY - The Tampa Bay Rays have made two roster changes affecting the Montgomery Biscuits.

LHP Jino Gonzalez has been placed on the disabled list (shoulder impingement) as of August 28. This is Gonzalez' first trip to the DL this season. Gonzalez struggled in the month of August, posting an 11.66 ERA in five appearances. Overall, he went 2-4 with a 5.44 ERA in 37 games, 11 starts for the Biscuits.

LHP Brian Henderson has been activated from the disabled list (left shoulder) in time for tonight's game against the Jacksonville Suns. This was only Henderson's second trip to the disabled list in his minor league career. The lefthand specialist has pitched well in 27 appearances out of the bullpen, going 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA. Henderson has held lefties to a .226 batting average, while righties have hit at a .360 clip.

The Biscuits maintain a full roster, with 24 active players and two on the disabled list.
