Three in a Row for the First Place Hens

The Toledo Mud Hens won their third game in a row in come from behind fashion to defeat the Charlotte Knights 3-2 at Fifth Third Field. Jim Adduci celebrated his 33rd birthday with a hit, a walk and a stolen base in the Hens victory.

LHP Josh Turley started on the bump for Toledo (24-12) and pitched seven innings in his third victory of the campaign. Turley allowed six hits, two runs, two earned runs, one walk and retired nine batters which is his season high. He holds a 3-1 record and an ERA of 3.58 after this outing against Charlotte (15-22).

Phillippe Aumont came in for two innings of relief and picked up his second save of the season. Aumont surrendered one walk in the ninth inning, but recorded blanks in hits, runs and strikeouts.

Harold Castro had himself a day at the plate going three for three with one RBI and he also scored a run in the seventh inning. This was Castro's second multi-hit game this season with the Hens.

Kody Eaves scored once in the fifth inning and again in the seventh inning.

Ronny Rodriguez extended his consecutive game hitting streak to 11 games with an RBI single in the seventh inning. In this stretch, Rodriguez has gone 16 for 44 at the plate recording four doubles, four home runs, and 10 RBI.

The Mud Hens will be back in action tomorrow morning against the Knights with the first pitch coming at 10:35 a.m. from Fifth Third Field.
