After winning the first two games of the series 2-1 and 5-0, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs go for a sweep of the Syracuse Chiefs at 1:05 p.m. today at NBT Bank Stadium.

PITCHING MATCHUP

Drew Anderson makes his second start of the season for the IronPigs. Cesar Vargas makes his eighth start of the year for the Chiefs. After being activated off the DL on May 13, Anderson took a no decision in his first start against the RailRiders allowing three runs over 4 2/3 innings. Cesar Vergas is still looking for his first win of the season after starting 0-3 in eight starts. The Nationals signed the Puebla, Mexico native in December after he pitched last season with the Padres.

LAST GAME

Six scoreless innings by Cole Irvin (4-1) and three RBI by Joey Meneses lifted the Lehigh Valley IronPigs to a 5-0 victory Saturday afternoon against the Syracuse Chiefs. Meneses finished a single shy of the cycle and is now batting an IL-leading .372 on the year. Click here to read a full recap of Saturday's game.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The IronPigs have won three of five 2018 contests with the Chiefs taking 2 of 3 at Coca-Cola Park two weeks ago and the Pigs winning the first two this weekend in Syracuse. All-time, the series is tied at 84-84. The Chiefs hold a 45-41 edge on games played in Syracuse, but the Pigs have had a winning record at NBT Bank Stadium in each of the last three seasons.

The Chiefs next trip to Coca-Cola Park will be July 2-3 for a two-game series.

NEXT WEEK AT COCA-COLA PARK

The Pigs return home Monday night for a four-game series against IL North opponent Rochester.
