Johnstown Chiefs News Release
Johnstown, PA - The Johnstown Chiefs announced today that they have teamed up with Gittler's Aquarium and Aviary to present the first-ever "Pups and Pucks Night".
Dog-owners have a chance to be a part of history when, for the first time in the Chiefs' 20-year history in the ECHL, dogs will be allowed to attend the Chiefs game Wednesday, February 27 against the Reading Royals at 7:05 PM.
For one night only the Party Pit area and the seats in Section Nine will be reserved for dogs and their owners. The Party Pit area and the seats in Section Nine will be the only place in the arena where the dogs will be allowed to watch the game.
As a special treat for all the pups who come to the game, Gittler's will be giving away doggie bags, valued at 25 dollars, filled with goodies to the first 50 dogs to come through the gate. Representatives from the Nardecchia Spay/Neuter Fund will also be located on the concourse providing information on their services, and Stuver's Riverside Nursery will provide an outdoor "doggie restroom."
The "restroom area" for the dogs will be located outside of Section Ten, and like the smoking area outside Section 12, readmittance will be allowed once the dogs are done.
For "Pups and Pucks Night" one dog will be admitted per ticket holder, and any season ticket holder who wishes to bring their dog may. However, season ticket holders who do bring their dog will have to watch the game from Section Nine or the Party Pit.
Owners will be required to keep their dog on a leash throughout the game.
Great seats are still available for Wednesday's game!! Call 536-5156 or go to www.johnstownchiefs.com to get yours today!
