Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (March 21)- In their last game against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs the Texas Brahmas were unable to muster up another win as they lost 7-1 on the road Friday evening.

Brahmas defenseman Kevin McLeod started the scoring with a powerplay goal in the first to give Texas their only lead of the night. Justin Kinnunen and Jordan Cameron assisted on the goal. One minute later Mudbugs right wing Tyrel Lucas evened things up with a powerplay goal of his own. The teams went into the intermission tied 1-1.

The second was a period to forget as the Brahmas let in four unanswered goals, two on the powerplay. Goaltender Brett Jaeger faced 16 Bossier shots and the Brahmas were only able to put two shots on Jon DeCaro's net.

It was penalties that hurt the Brahmas in the long run as Bossier went 5-9 on the powerplay, including two late powerplay goals in the third by the Mudbugs. Texas was outshot 46-16 and called for 11 penalties.

The Brahmas play their final game of the regular season tomorrow night against the Ice Bats in Austin at 7:35 PM where they have the opportunity to tie the franchise record of 41 wins. Playoff tickets are now on sale at the Brahmas Box Office at the NYTEX Sports Centre or by logging on to www.brahmas.com. For more information please call (817) 336-4423.
