Both Laredo and Rio come into this game with nothing to play for in the standings. The Bucks will be the top seed in the Southern Conference playoffs, while the Bees will finish the season at the bottom of the South.
The Bucks clinched the top number one seed in the South last night with an 8-2 drubbing of the Bees at the LEC. Laredo got plenty of contributions, having eight different goal scorers.
Laredo comes into this game at the Dodge Arena with a 5-1 mark there this season-the Bucks only loss to the Bees was a 3-2 setback on January 4th. Laredo has outscored Rio on their home ice 19-10 combined this season.
Rio comes into this game looking to end on a positive note. The Bees are last in the CHL in wins, points, winning percentage, and goals against. They also will finish with the least amount of wins in franchise history.
After tonight the Bucks will prepare for game one of the Conference Semi-finals next Saturday March 29th at the LEC on "Pack the House For Charity Night". Fans can buy tickets for a minimum $5 donation to the Sacred Heart Children's Home and the South Texas Food Bank. Call 718-BUCK (2825), or go to the LEC Box office to buy your tickets today.
