CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars make a quick two-game swing into Stockton this weekend for a pair of divisional games against the Heat beginning Friday.

March 11 and March 12 at Stockton Heat, 9:30 p.m. CST:
The Stars pay a visit to the Stockton Heat for their final two matchups of the season this weekend. Texas is 1-2-0-1 this season against Stockton. Brendan Ranford and Justin Dowling each lead the Stars with four points against the Heat this season. Kenny Agostino and Hunter Shinkaruk both lead Stockton with 42 points this season. Shinkaruk was an acquisition at the NHL Trade Deadline from the Vancouver Canucks.

March 2 vs. Iowa Wild, 5-2 Win:
A four-goal second period turned a one-goal deficit into a 5-2 win for the Texas Stars over the Iowa Wild on Wednesday night at Cedar Park Center in front of 4,084 in attendance to snap a two-game winless skid for Texas. Curtis McKenzie finished with two goals in the game, including a shorthanded breakaway goal with 1.4 seconds remaining in period two. Justin Dowling returned to the Stars' lineup after missing the last 19 games and recorded the 100th assist of his AHL career. Maxime Lagace earned his 16th win of the season in net with 30 saves.
March 4 vs. Iowa Wild, 4-3 Overtime Loss:
Jordan Schroeder capped off an odd-man rush 43 seconds into overtime with the game-winning goal to lift the Iowa Wild to a 4-3 win over the Texas Stars on Friday in front of 4,690 in attendance at Cedar Park Center. Schroeder's overtime goal was the only blemish in net for Jack Campbell, who came on in relief for Texas to stop 17 of 18 shots. Brendan Ranford appeared in the 200th game of his pro career and tallied an assist for the Stars. With the loss, the Stars split their four-game season series against Iowa.
March 5 vs. Manitoba Moose, 6-1 Win:
Gemel Smith scored twice and the Texas Stars offense recorded a six-goal outburst to top the Manitoba Moose by a 6-1 final on Saturday night in front of 5,452 fans at Cedar Park Center to close out a five-game homestand. Smith finished with three points on the night. Cole Ully (one goal, one assist) and Remi Elie (two assists) each tallied two-point games for the Stars. It was the Stars third win over the Moose in as many matchups this season. Jason Dickinson also scored to take over the team lead for Texas with 20 goals this season.
-- NEWS, NOTES AND UPCOMING MILESTONES -
Jason Dickinson took over the team lead this past weekend when he scored his 20th goal of the year against Manitoba on Saturday. Dickinson is also second among all AHL rookies with 45 points this year (20-25=45). Curtis McKenzie has 15 points in his last 10 games (6-9=15). Wednesday's game against Iowa was Justin Dowling's return to the Stars' lineup after missing the previous 19 games due to injury. Dowling has recorded four assists in his three games back with the Stars.

The Stars return home on Wednesday, March 16 to host the Grand Rapids Griffins on a Winning Wednesday. If the Stars win, fans in attendance will receive a voucher for a free ticket to the team's following Wednesday game on March 23 against the Milwaukee Admirals. Wednesday's game is also an H-E-B Night and features postgame open ice. Fans can donate an H-E-B-branded, non-perishable food item at the box office for five dollars off their ticket purchase, and can walk on the ice after the game.
The Stars face Grand Rapids again on Saturday, March 19. The game will feature a Stars Beach Towel giveaway and a postgame autograph session with the players. It is also a Texas Lottery Lucky Row Night and Coke Zero Family Four-Pack game. The first Stars player to score will win free scratch-off tickets for a lucky row of seats at Cedar Park Center, courtesy of the Texas Lottery, and fans can also purchase four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks starting at $16 per person, courtesy of Coke Zero.
The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars and currently in their seventh season at Cedar Park Center.
