The Week That Was...

The Ontario Reign took on the San Antonio Rampage on Sunday for their lone contest of the week, skating away with a 5-1 victory at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The win sent the Reign on a three-game winning streak and maintains their stranglehold of first place in the Pacific Division with an overall record of 33-14-3-1.

Forward Jordan Samuels-Thomas started the scoring 10 seconds into the game, forward Sean Backman added a goal and an assist and forward Ryan Horvat pitched in two assists in the lopsided victory. Goaltender Peter Budaj made 27 saves and tied a career-best with his 31 win of the season (2006-07, Colorado Avalanche). Reign team captain Vincent LoVerde also tied a career mark with his ninth goal of the season midway through the third period (2014-15, Manchester Monarchs).
