GOING STREAKING: Nikita Scherbak is on a five-game point streak with one goal and six assists. Bud Holloway has five points in the last four games (2G, 3A). Brandon McNally and newcomer Andrew Yogan both have points in the last two games; with McNally picking up two goals and an assist, and Yogan acquiring back-to-back helpers.

BIG LEAGUE: Ellis made his NHL debut on Wed. March 2 in the Habs 3-2 shootout loss to Anaheim. He skated on the third pair, registering two shots on goal and a two- minute penalty in 10:31 of ice time.

GOING GREEN: The IceCaps will be sporting St. Patrick's Day themed jerseys this upcoming weekend against the Hershey Bears.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

Eddie Pasquale made 26 saves as St. John's beat Albany for their second straight win Friday at Mile One Centre. Charles Hudon, with his team-leading 19th, Alexandre Ranger and Brandon McNally scored for the IceCaps, with all three goals coming in the second period.The second also featured some rough stuff with the teams combining for 94 minutes in penalties, including five fights.

The IceCaps dropped a heartbreaker to the Devils Saturday, losing 5-4 in overtime at Mile One Centre in the second of two games this weekend. With just 47 seconds left in the extra frame, the Devils' Brian O'Neill attempted a pass cross-crease that deflected off Josiah Didier and past Zach Fucale for the game-winner.

Nikita Scherbak notched three points (1G, 2A), his first multi-point effort as a pro, while Bud Holloway, Joel Hanley and Brandon McNally also scored for St. John's. Both Holloway and McNally finished with two points each. Fucale stopped 26 shots in the loss.
