Rangers Recall Brady Skjei from Hartford on An Emergency Basis

NEW YORK - New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has recalled defenseman Brady Skjei from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Skjei, 21, has skated in three games with the Rangers this season, registering three shots on goal and two penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut on Dec. 15 vs. Edmonton. Skjei also recorded two hits while skating in a team-high 22:17 of ice time during his last game with the Blueshirts on Feb. 23 at New Jersey.

The 6-3, 215-pounder has skated in 56 games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering three goals and 20 assists for 23 points, along with 24 penalty minutes. Skjei ranks third on the Wolf Pack in assists this season. In addition, he ranks second among team defensemen in assists and points in 2015-16.
