Hartford Wolf Pack News Release
The Wolf Pack (29-27-2-0, 60 pts., .517 pts. percentage) passed the three-quarter mark of their season this past week, with a split of a pair of games against the team immediately ahead of them in the Atlantic Division playoff race, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. On Wednesday night in Bridgeport, the Wolf Pack recovered from 2-0 and 3-1 deficits to post a 4-3 shootout win over the Sound Tigers, led by Calle Andersson's goal and an assist and Magnus Hellberg's team season-high 42 saves. In a rematch Sunday afternoon at the XL Center, though, Bridgeport turned the tables, battling back from an early 1-0 deficit to defeat the Wolf Pack by a score of 3-2. Defensemen Mat Bodie and Raphael Diaz scored the Hartford goals in that game.

This week:
After having only two games in a span of 11 days, the Wolf Pack will play three games this weekend, two on the road. The Pack will make their final regular-season visit to Providence on Friday night for a 7:05 game, and then will return to the XL Center for a 3:00 PM battle with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Saturday. That is "Military Appreciation Day", and the Wolf Pack follow that up with a trip to Portland Sunday for a 3:00 game vs. the Pirates.
Friday, March 11 at the Providence Bruins (Boston) at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence, 7:05 PM
- The Bruins come into the week at 29-18-9-2 for 69 points and a .595 points percentage, nine points up on the Wolf Pack in the Atlantic Division playoff battle. The Bruins are 3-0-1-0 in their last four games and 17-3-4-1 since January 3, and are 20-5-4-2 on home ice for the year.
- Providence rookie sniper Frank Vatrano completed a hat trick with the overtime game-winner, and had 11 shots on goal, in a 4-3 win vs. Portland Sunday. Vatrano leads the AHL in goals with 29, in only 28 games.
- The Wolf Pack have won their last two meetings the Bruins and are 4-2-0-0 in the season series, with three of the four victories coming in overtime. The Bruins have won two of the three previous encounters in Providence.

Saturday, March 12 vs. the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (Flyers) at the XL Center, 3:00 PM
- This is "Military Appreciation Day" at the XL Center. The Wolf Pack will wear special military-themed jerseys in the game, and the jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit military-related charities.
- The first 2,000 fans at the game receive a Mackenzie Skapski bobblehead, presented by Xfinity.
- A Wolf Pack streak of 13 straight wins over the Phantoms, which tied a Wolf Pack franchise record for most consecutive wins against a single opponent, was snapped in Lehigh Valley's last visit to the XL Center February 28, in a 2-1 Hartford defeat. The Wolf Pack had taken the first three games of the season series prior to that, and are 1-1-0-0 in two home games vs. the Phantoms this year.
- The Phantoms finished last week one point behind the Wolf Pack in the Atlantic Division standings, with a record of 27-28-2-3 for 59 points and a .492 points percentage. This game is the third of five straight on the road for Lehigh Valley, which is 16-11-1-1 in enemy rinks on the year.
- Taylor Leier and Kevin Goumas scored third-period goals for the Phantoms in their 2-1 win February 28 at the XL Center, after Lehigh Valley had trailed that game 1-0 after two.

Sunday, March 13 at the Portland Pirates (Florida) at the Cross Insurance Arena, 3:00 PM
- The Wolf Pack and Pirates have split six meetings thus far on the year, and the Pack are 1-2-0-0 in three previous trips to Portland. Hartford had won three straight between the two clubs before a 1-0 home loss in the last battle, February 24 at the XL Center.
- 5-6, 160-pound Rocco Grimaldi has five goals in the Pirates' last four games and is second only to Rob Schremp (17-17-34 in 57 GP) among Portland point-scorers, with 15-14-29 in 42 games.
- The 31-22-3-1 (66 pts., .579) Pirates are currently six points ahead of the Wolf Pack in the Atlantic. Portland was 0-2-1-0 in three games this past weekend and is 2-4-2-1 in its last nine outings.
