Team Notes:

- The Falcons suffered their first weekend sweep with regulations losses on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

- The team's penalty kill has successfully killed all the game's penalties just once since January 30.

- The only season series sweep this year was against the Binghamton Senators with the Falcons posting a record of 2-0-0.

Player Notes:

- Phil Lane played in his hometown of Rochester, New York on Friday for the first time as a professional.

- Matia Marcantuoni made his Falcons debut on Friday against the Rochester Americans.

- Alex Grant ranks third among defensemen with 39 points (10 goals, 29 assists).

- Playing in just his fifth game of the year, Dylan Reese recorded his first point of the year with an assist on Sunday.

- Niklas Treutle played back-to-back games on Saturday and Sunday, the first occurrence since December 27.

Saturday, Mar. 12 vs. Portland Pirates: Book Drive: Link to Libraries hosts the first-ever book drive in effort to support greater-Springfield children. Any fan who donates an elementary aged book will receive one free ticket voucher to Sunday, March 20 vs. the Hartford Wolf Pack courtesy of Berkshire Bank.

Saturday, Mar. 12 vs. Portland Pirates: Dr. Seuss Night: Specialty jerseys will be worn by the Falcons and will be auctioned off with the proceeds donated to the Springfield Museums. The night will include special appearances by The Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2. Dr. Seuss artwork and the history of the Springfield native will be displayed on the concourse.

Sunday, Mar. 13 vs. Syracuse Crunch: Six Flags Night to benefit Square One: Fans have the opportunity to be gifted Six Flags memorabilia, day passes and Front of the Line access passes with a donation to Square One. Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno and Agawam Mayor Richard Cohen compete in a shootout in efforts to donate Six Flags tickets the children and families affiliated with Square One. In addition, Famous Looney Tunes characters will be in attendance.

Tuesday, Mar. 8 - Stick to Reading Presented by Columbia Gas of Massachusetts & 811 Dig Safe: Screech will appear at Central Library to interact with students and encourage the importance of reading.

Wednesday, Mar. 9 - Stick to Reading Presented by Columbia Gas of Massachusetts & 811 Dig Safe: Screech will visit Sixteen Acres Library to interact with students and encourage the importance of reading

Wednesday, Mar. 9 - West Springfield Balise Toyota Meet and Greet: Fans have the opportunity to meet the players and get autographs from Steven Delisle, Michael Bunting, Brendan Shinnimin, Dakota Mermis, and Domenic Monardo. The event runs from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and includes free car wash giveaways and the Balise Car Wash mascot, Squeaky.

Thursday, Mar. 10 - 2003 EMHL Tier 1 hockey practice: Forwards Brendan Shinnimin and Domenic Monardo will join the youth hockey team to assist in their practice and sign autographs following the practice.
