Texas Releases Goalie Todd Ford

Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars announced Tuesday that goalie Todd Ford has been released.

Ford appeared in 12 games for Texas this season, posting a 4-5-1 record. The 25-year old recorded a 2.86 goals against average, a.908 save percentage and two shutouts with the Stars. Prior to signing with Texas in late December, the Calgary, AB native played in 24 games for the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays, posting a 16-6-1 mark with a 2.88 goals against average, a.910 save percentage and one shutout.

The Stars' next game will be at home on Friday, March 5th at 7:30 PM against the Rockford IceHogs. The first 3,000 fans will receive a Texas Stars wrist band. Also on Friday, Cedar Park Center is providing $2.00 domestic drafts and $1.00 hot dogs. On Saturday, March 6th, Texas will take on the Houston Aeros at 7:00 PM at Cedar Park Center. The first 2,000 children 12 and under will receive a Texas Stars youth jersey t-shirt. Also on Saturday, fans may purchase the State Farm Family 4-Pack, which includes four tickets, four sodas and four hot dogs for $44.00. All games can be heard on the Stars flagship station ESPNAustin 104.9 FM "The Horn" or ESPNAustin 1530-AM.

Tickets for any of the Stars 40 regular season home games at Cedar Park Center are on sale, starting as low as $9.00 a seat. Individual game tickets may be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000, by going online at www.ticketmaster.com or by visiting any local Ticketmaster outlet.
