Backlund Recelled By Calgary Flames

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today forward Mikael Backlund has been recalled from the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

Backlund, a native of Vasteras, Sweden has played in nine games with the Calgary Flames this season earning his first career goal and assist. t "_blank" Backlund was named as the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending February 28. In the Abbotsford Heat's three games that week Backlund recorded two goals, four assists and was a +6.
