Texas Assigns William Wrenn to ECHL

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, announced today defenseman William Wrenn has been assigned to the team's ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads.

Wrenn, 24, has appeared in 31 games for Texas this season, scoring a goal and adding two assists. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound native of Anchorage, Alaska was a second-round pick of the San Jose Sharks (43rd overall) in 2009.

In his career, Wrenn has appeared in 90 games for the Stars, tallying 17 points (five goals, 12 assists).
