Amerks Recall McPherson and Sundher from Elmira

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has recalled forwards Allan McPherson and Kevin Sundher from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

McPherson, 23, has played in 30 AHL games for the Amerks this year, recording four points (1+3) and two penalty minutes. He has also registered 23 points (8+15) and 18 penalty minutes in 24 ECHL games with Elmira this season. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound native of Kinburn, Ontario, signed with the Amerks organization as a free agent on Aug. 12, 2014.

Sundher, 23, has played in 18 AHL games for the Amerks this year, collecting three points (1+2) and six penalty minutes. He has also registered four points (1+3) and two penalty minutes in nine games with Elmira this season. In 116 career AHL games with the Amerks, the 6-foot, 185-pound native of Surrey, British Columbia, has recorded 36 points (11+25) and 57 penalty minutes. Sundher was originally selected by the Sabres in the third round (75th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
