Tampa Bay Lightning Reassign Yanni Gourde to Syracuse Crunch

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned forward Yanni Gourde to the Syracuse Crunch today, Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.

Gourde, 24, has played in two games with the Lightning this season, posting an assist and two penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut on December 15 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, collecting his first career NHL point with an assist on Mike Blunden's third period goal.

The 5-foot-9, 167-pound forward has appeared in 24 games with the Crunch this season, tallying five goals and 13 points go along with 19 penalty minutes. Gourde led all Syracuse skaters last season for goals with 29 and was second for points with 57. The Saint-Narcisse, Quebec native has played in 201 career AHL games, registering 49 goals and 119 points over five seasons.

Gourde originally was signed by the Lightning on March 9, 2014.
