Eric Knodel Recalled from Utah, Shayne Taker Signs PTO

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced today that defenseman Eric Knodel has been recalled from Utah, San Diego's ECHL affiliate. Additionally, defenseman Shayne Taker (Utah) has signed a professional try out (PTO) with the American Hockey League (AHL) club.
Knodel, 25 (6/8/90), was scoreless in one game with San Diego this season. The 6-6, 216-pound defenseman has appeared in 20 games with Utah, recording 4-9=13 points with six penalty minutes (PIM) and a +11 rating.
Taker, 25 (2/12/90), has appeared in one game with San Diego on a professional try out earlier this season, going scoreless with a +1 rating. The 6-4, 209-pound defenseman has collected 1-9=10 points with 33 PIM in 24 games with Utah this season.
