
T.J. Stanton returns to Cedar Rapids; Arnold to Mesa

Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
The Cedar Rapids Kernels along with their parent organization, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, announce that T.J. Stanton will be rejoining the Kernels from Mesa of the Arizona League. To make room on the Kernels' 25-man roster, it was also announced that RHP Mitch Arnold has been assigned to Mesa.
Stanton was activated from the DL and assigned to Mesa on July 21st. In two games, he pitched 1.2 innings, allowing three hits and no runs with two strikeouts.
Mitch Arnold appeared in twelve games for the Kernels. He pitched 11-2/3 innings, allowing 14 hits and nine runs (all earned). He walked 10 and struck out 11 and also had seven wild pitches.
Stanton is expected to be in Cedar Rapids for Friday's game with Dayton. The Kernels roster remains at the Midwest League maximum of 25 players.
