T-Birds Start Regular Season In One Week

Kent, September 11, 2009 - The Seattle Thunderbirds will open the 2009-10 regular season on Friday, September 18, at ShoWare Center at 7:35 p.m. when they take on the Everett Silvertips.
The T-Birds will face the Portland Winterhawks at ShoWare Center on Saturday, September 19, at 7 p.m. in the second game of the season.
The Opening Weekend of games will feature special promotions and two Party On The Plaza events. All fans at the home opener will receive magnetic schedules and Thunderstix noise makers. The first 1,000 kids at the game on Saturday against the Winterhawks will receive a free kid's hat.
The plaza outside the main doors will feature a beer garden and ShoWare Center Executive Chef Rich Carlone barbecuing a range of food. Coke and Vitamin Water will be sampling products for all fans and The Funky Monkey 104.9 FM will be playing music. The Party On The Plaza will start at 5 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
"We are looking forward to creating a tail gate like atmosphere at our opening weekend of games," said T-Birds Vice President Colin Campbell. "We think we have something for everyone and are looking forward to opening our first full season in ShoWare Center."
The doors to ShoWare Center will open at 6 p.m. for both games on Opening Weekend.
The T-Birds are encouraging fans to forward this email to friends and family to get their tickets now to the Opening Weekend of games. The T-Birds want to make sure fans are able to enjoy the games against the Silvertips and Winterhawks with as many family and friends as possible.
Single game tickets to the Opening Weekend games can be purchased on the T-Birds website.
T-Birds single game tickets for the 2009-10 season are available online on the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday game days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.
T-Birds season tickets are currently on sale. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-7825.
