T-Birds Sign Grayson Malinoski

KENT, Wash. - The Seattle Thunderbirds have announced the signing of goaltender Grayson Malinoski to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. The 16-year-old goaltender from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan currently sports a 2.29 GAA and .934 SV% through 9 games with the U18 Saskatoon Blazers of the SMAAAHL.
"We are very excited that Grayson and his family chose the Seattle Thunderbirds and the Western Hockey League to continue his development", said General Manager Bil La Forge. "Grayson's style blends strong fundamentals and athleticism with fierce competitiveness and we believe that his signing provides us tremendous depth at the goaltending position within our organization."

The Seattle Thunderbirds are now two-time Ed Chynoweth Cup Champions after their victory over the Winnipeg Ice in the WHL Championship Series last May. The Seattle Thunderbirds play in the 22 team Western Hockey League. The WHL is the premier league for developing talent for the National Hockey League.
