Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats has acquired 2006-born goaltender Madden Mulawka from the Prince George Cougars for a seventh-round pick in 2026 (via Saskatoon).

"We're very pleased to add Madden to our hockey club," Regina Pats VP, Hockey Operations & GM Alan Millar said. "He's a young goalie that joins us with good experience and we look forward to his ongoing development, and his growth with our young core."

Mulawka, 17, was called up for three games with the Cougars last season, earing his first WHL win on September 23, 2022, allowing one goal on 24 shots against the Tri-City Americans. Last season, the Edmonton, Alta. product played for Team Canada White at the 2022 U17 Hockey Challenge in Langley, B.C. He also represented Team Alberta at the 2021 WHL Cup, going 2-1 with a 2.67 G.A.A and a .935 SV%.

Mulawka is currently playing for the Edmonton Jr. Oilers U18 AAA team, and has posted a 2-0-1 record with a 2.95 G.A.A and a .904 SV% in three games. The 6-foot-1, 197 lb. goaltender was drafted by the Cougars in the fifth round of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.
