
T-Birds Announce 2012-13 Schedule

The Seattle Thunderbirds are excited to announce their regular season schedule for the 2012-13 season.
The T-Birds will open the 2012-13 Western Hockey League regular season against the Portland Winterhawks on Friday, September 21, at the Rose Garden at 7 p.m.
The Home Opener will be Saturday, September 22, against the Winterhawks at ShoWare Center at 7:05pm. There will be a Party on the Plaza for the Home Opener which will include music, food and entertainment.
The deadline to receive two FREE tickets to Opening Night is Saturday, June 30. Fans who purchase a 24-Flex Ticket Package before the deadline will receive two FREE tickets to the home opener against Portland. For more information, or to order the 24 Flex Package, call the T-Birds at 253-239-7825. The 24-Flex Packages can also be purchased online.
The T-Birds have six games against the Winterhawks at home, with five of the games being played on a Saturday and one game on a Friday. There are 15 games at home on a Saturday, eight games at home on a Friday and five games at home on a Sunday this season.
Seattle's other I-5 rival, the Everett Silvertips, will come to ShoWare Center five times in 2012-13. This includes three Saturday games, one Friday game and one Tuesday game.
The team travels to the East Division for a six-game road trip from November 2 through November 10. They will play the Swift Current Broncos, Moose Jaw Warriors, Brandon Wheat Kings, Regina Pats, Prince Albert Raiders and Saskatoon Blades.
The T-Birds will have a two-game road trip to Prince George on Friday, September 28 and Saturday, September 29. They will be in Victoria for back-to-back games on Tuesday, February 5, and Wednesday, February 6.
The first of the popular 2-For-Tuesday games will be on Tuesday, October 16, against the Spokane Chiefs at 7:05pm at ShoWare Center. There will be 2-for-1 ticket specials and $2 concession specials at the game.
The first of three Pub Night games will be Friday, November 16, when the T-Birds face the Medicine Hat Tigers. Fans cans get 10 tickets, 10 beers and 10 hats for $200 to all Pub Night games.
The Kootenay Ice will be at ShoWare Center on Wednesday, November 21, which is the day before Thanksgiving. That game will be followed by a game against the Winterhawks on Saturday, November 24.
The T-Birds and Everett Silvertips will play a home-and-home series on Friday, December 28, and Saturday, December 29.
The T-Birds will travel to Portland to take on the Winterhawks in the annual New Year's Eve game on December 31.
There are back-to-back home games the first two weekends in February. The T-Birds play the Winterhawks on Friday, February 1, and the Tri-City Americans on Saturday, February 2. Then on Friday, February 8, the T-Birds take on the Red Deer Rebels followed by the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday, February 9.
The defending league champion Edmonton Oil Kings come to ShoWare Center on Tuesday, February 26, at 7:05pm.
