Indianapolis, IN - The Syracuse Chiefs' bats were again quieted by the Indianapolis Indians, falling 4-0 Tuesday morning at Victory Field. This marks the first time the Chiefs have been shut out in back-to-back games since August 25th and 26th of 2016 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and then Pawtucket.

Indianapolis (9-7) started the scoring in the bottom of the second inning. Kevin Kramer and Jacob Stallings each singled with one out against Tommy Milone. Jerrick Suiter followed with a double to left field to plate both runners and give the Indians a 2-0 lead.

The Tribe stretched the lead in the fourth. Eric Wood and Kramer hit back-to-back doubles to begin the frame to stretch the lead to three. Kramer then moved to third on a flyout, and Suiter walked. Then with Todd Cunningham batting, Milone was called for a balk on an attempted pick off to first base, allowing the runners to move up a base and pushing Kramer in to score for a 4-0 advantage.

Syracuse (10-7) was held in check offensively for the second day in a row. The Chiefs managed just four hits and two walks. Syracuse didn't get a runner past second base for the first time all season.

The Chiefs and Tribe wrap up their season series Wednesday afternoon at 1:35 p.m. RHP Erick Fedde is scheduled to start for Syracuse opposite RHP Clay Holmes for Indianapolis.
