Sutter Re-called to AHL's Lock Monsters

April 13, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fresno Falcons News Release

Fresno, Calif. - The 2004-05 season ended with the Fresno Falcons falling four points short of qualifying for the ECHL's Kelly Cup Playoffs, but Falcons right winger Shaun Sutter has been re-called to the Lowell (Mass.) Lock Monsters where he could have the opportunity to play in the American Hockey League's post-season. The Lock Monsters are the top affiliate of the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames.

Sutter ended the regular season tied for the ECHL lead with 15 power play goals. His 26 tallies overall led the Falcons, and his 57 points (26g-31a) placed him second in the team's overall scoring race. Sutter was originally drafted by the Flames in the fourth round of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.

Although Fresno's season ended Saturday following a 5-4 overtime win against the Long Beach Ice Dogs, the Lock Monsters complete their regular season this weekend before beginning the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs next week as the number three seed out of the AHL's Atlantic Division.

The Falcons are currently accepting season ticket renewals for the 2005-06 regular season, which will include tickets to the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition presented by Bud Light. Current season ticket holders have until May 2 to submit a $75 per seat deposit to renew their same seats or relocate their seats for next year. After the May 2 deadline, new season ticket holders may begin purchasing ticket packages and current season ticket holders will no longer be able to guarantee their desired seat location. For more information, please call the Falcons offices at (559) 485-PUCK (7825).
