Linglet started the scoring at 5:17 of the first period with a power play goal from Gomez and Ryan Gaucher to make it 1-0 Alaksa. The Aces then increased their lead to open the second period on a Vladimir Novak goal before Bakersfield responded with a Brett Lutes marker for a 2-1 deficit.

Lutes scored his second of the game just 55 seconds into the third period to make it a 5-2 contest, but Bakersfield was unable to find the twine again and the score held until the final buzzer.
