Atlantic City, N.J. - With the Can-Am League's roster freeze going into effect 11:59 p.m. on Friday, the Atlantic City Surf have announced the acquisition of righthanded pitcher Charlie Ruud (pronounced "Rudd") from the St. Paul Saints of the American Association in exchange for future considerations.

He will make his first start for the Surf on Sunday at Sussex. In 19 appearances for the Saints this year, Ruud went 12-4 with a 3.85 ERA, leading the team in wins and strikeouts. The 12 victories also tied him for second in the league.
