Sundogs Activate Bernier; Gardner Granted Leave By League

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - Arizona Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro announced today the team has activated forward Cedric Bernier from 14-day I.R. Additionally, forward Kevin Gardner has been granted leave by league for the birth of his and his wife's first child.

Bernier, 25, appeared in two games with Arizona prior to being placed on 14-day I.R. retroactive to December 5, collecting 21 PIM, including 19 against the Corpus Christi IceRays on December 3.

Gardner, 28, is averaging nearly a point per game for the Sundogs this season and ranks second on the team in scoring with 26 points in 28 contests. The Edmonton, Alberta, native leads the team in assists (15), game-winning goals (4) and multiple-point games (8).
