
Bucks Sign Former Hobey Baker Award Nominee

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced Tuesday that they have signed rookie forward Bear Trapp for the 2009-10 season. Trapp is expected to be in the line-up Tuesday when the Bucks travel to Corpus Christi.
The 25-year-old Trapp played in one game for Bossier-Shreveport this season before being released last week. Trapp has played less than 25 professional games making him still rookie status.
Trapp turned pro at the end of last season where he played in six games for Elmira (ECHL) putting up four points (3-14). Trapp played in one playoff game for Elmira last season.
"Bear is able to put up some good offensive numbers and that's what we need right now," said Ruskowski.
Prior to turning pro Trapp played four years of college hockey for Sacred Heart University where he was nominated for the Hobey Baker Award in multiple seasons. In his four seasons with Sacred Heart Trapp put up 156 points (56-100156) and 228 PIM's. Trapp was named the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Year in 2005-06.
Trapp, 6'0'', 185 pounds, played for two SJHL teams over three seasons of junior, posting 143 points in 154 games and earning an All-Star nod.
**LINCOURT TO IR, SWANSON MOVED TO 30-DAY IR**
The Bucks also announced that MaximeLincourt has been placed on the 14-day IR while Jeremy Swanson has been moved to the 30-day IR.
Lincourt was placed on the 14-day IR with an upper-body injury as he missed both games over the weekend.
The 22-year-old Lincourt has 16 points (9-716) and is tied for the team lead with five power-play goals.
Swanson was placed on the 14-day IR after the Bucks 4-2 loss in Allen on December 12th, but was moved to the 30-day IR Tuesday.
Swanson has seven points (1-67) in 18 games this season.
