Green Bay, Wis. - The Bullfrogs suffered their fourth loss of the season at the hands of the Battle Creek Bombers. The story of the game was the defense, the Bullfrogs made five costly errors in tonight's ballgame.
Mike Ellenbest got the start tonight for the Bullfrogs. He went five strong innings, striking out three batters and giving up no earned runs. The bullpen was once again solid for the Bullfrogs as Matt Gunter threw two innings, with one run scoring off an error. Matt Ellenbest threw one scoreless.
The offense did not have a lot of chances throughout the game, starting pitcher Jordan Horak kept the Bullfrogs off balance. In the sixth inning the Bullfrogs had bases load with one out but were unable to capitalize. The only run came off a pass ball, scoring Eustace from third in the beginning of the sixth.
Laren Eustace had two hits on the night, scoring one run. Hunter Owen, Marcus Shoemaker, and Jess Berardi had one hit a piece.
The bullfrogs will be back in action tomorrow morning against the Battle Creek Bombers. The game is an early start, 11:05am ET (10:00am CT). Luke Lind will make his second start for the Bullfrogs, he threw six scoreless innings in last start against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.
