Green Bay, Wis. - It's opening week in the Northwoods League, presented by Edvest. After last night's late inning heroics, the Bullfrogs will hit the road to take on the Battle Creek Bombers. The Bullfrogs moved to 3-3 on the season with last night's walk off win against the Lakeshore Chinooks.

As we entered the bottom of the 10th, the Bullfrogs were tied 2-2. Randell Kanemaru began the inning with a double down the left field line. An error on the pitcher and single to shallow right loaded the bases with one out. Marcus Shoemaker stepped to the plate. After falling down 0-2, Shoemaker worked the count back to 3-2 before drawing a walk off walk.

The pitching for the Bullfrogs was stellar once again led by starter Stuart Springer. After going five and one third inning, the bullpen took over. They allowed only two hits and struck out nine in five plus innings of work.

The Bullfrogs will look to get over .500 as they will play the 3-3 Battle Creek Bombers. Mike Ellenbest will get his second start of the season. On opening day, Mike threw six innings and struck out seven batters. Newcomer Jonah Davis, outfielder out of UC-Berkley will join the team for today's game.

The Bombers will send left hander Jordan Horak to the mound. He went five innings in his last start, giving up three runs in a loss to the Madison Mallards.
