Storm Sign Forward Schmidt

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo of the ECHL announced today that they have signed forward Matt Schmidt to a contract.

Schmidt appeared in 9 games this season with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL prior to being placed on waivers December 7th. Matt appeared in 46 games for current Storm assistant coach Stan Drulia last season in Augusta. He registered 1 goal and 7 assists with the Lynx. Matt also spent time a season ago with the Las Vegas Wranglers, in which he had 1 goal and 1 assist in 10 games. During his college career at Norwich University, Schmidt scored 73 goals with 54 assists over four seasons.
