Trenton Devils News Release

CHARLESTON, SC (December 10, 2005) "" Playing out of position, Aaron Wilson's first goal of the season proved to be the game-winner in the Trenton Titans' 2-1 win over the South Carolina Stingrays in front of 5,066 at North Charleston Coliseum.

After a scoreless forty minutes of hockey, Rosario Ruggeri got his team on the board with a short handed tally. The second-year defenseman pounced on the rebound from Mathieu Brunelle's shot and put it past Davis Parley at 7:06 of the third.

The Titans extended their lead to 2-0 at 12:22 when Wilson, a defenseman-turned-forward, tipped Brian McConnell's pass through Parley's five-hole.

South Carolina made it interesting with a 6-on-4 power play goal by Marty Clapton with just 1:33 remaining in regulation, but Trenton would hold on for the win.

Rejean Beauchemin turned away 30 of 31 shots to raise his record to 2-4-1 on the year and give new Head Coach Tony MacAulay his first win as a Titan.

Trenton went 0-for-4 on the power play and 1-for-3 on the penalty kill.

The Trenton Titans take on the ice against the Johnstown Chiefs on Wednesday, December 14 at 7:30pm. Tune into WBCB 1490AM to listen or log on to www.trentontitans.com to hear all the Titans action.
