Storm Select Timo Haussener in 1st Round of CHL Import Draft

The Guelph Storm selected 1997 born Swiss forward Timo Haussener with the 39th overall pick in the 2015 Import Draft. Last season, Haussener had five goals, 16 assists in 34 games with the Rapperswil/Jona U20 of the Swiss Pro A league.The 6.4, 176 pound forward is no stranger to international play having represented Team Switzerland since he was 16. His latest appearance was at the 2014 World Jr. A Hockey Challenge in December. There he had one goal in three games at the tournament.

Haussener began his pro career in Switzerland at the age of 15 with Rapperswil U15. Over two seasons in Switzerland's A league, he has 16 points in 38 pro games. He will join the rest of the Storm at training camp in August.
