London Knights News Release

The London Knights Hockey Club made two large additions to the organization today. With his two selections in the 2015 CHL Import Draft, General Manager Basil McRae selected defenseman Olli Juolevi from Finland and recently drafted (New York Rangers) Swedish winger Daniel Bernhardt.

A touted prospect for the upcoming 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Juolevi stands as a 6'2" and 185lbs left-shooting defenseman. International Scouting Services has named him "the most intriguing '98-born Finnish defenseman." Known for confidence and composure when advancing the puck, Juolevi played last season with Jokerit's U-20 team. In 44 games played, the Finnish defender posted six goals and 26 assists in 2014-15. Juolevi also played for Finland at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka, posting one assist in four games.

Drafted this past weekend by the New York Rangers in the 4th round (119th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Bernhardt is publicized as being a "big skilled winger who creates a lot of offense by entering the zone with speed." Standing at 6'2" and 191lbs, this left-handed shot winger is listed as playing both left and right wing. He captured the SuperElit League's Most Goals and Most Points in the season titles after racking up 61 points (26 goals, 35 assists) in 44 games played with Djurgarden U20.
