Oshawa Generals Select Lukas Lofquist in the 2015 CHL Import Draft

With their first overall pick, the Oshawa Generals have selected Lukas Lofquist 56th overall in the 2015 CHL Import Draft.

The 19-year-old right-winger from Sweden spent this past season playing with the Djurgården J20 of the SuperElit. He registered 43 points (22 goals, 21 assists) in 42 games played. He added five points (4 goals, 1 assist) in seven playoff games.

The 2014-15 season wasn't just a lucky one for Lofquist. In 2013-14, while playing for the Djurgården J18 of the J18 Elit, Lofquist recorded 37 points (14 goals, 23 assists) in 15 games played. Along with his impressive statistics, Lofquist is 6'3" and 190lbs.

The two-round draft takes place online with the order of selection rotating through each of the CHL's three leagues using an inverse order of final regular season standings within each league from the 2014-15 season. Acadie-Bathurst of the QMJHL had the first overall selection, while the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL held the third overall pick.
