Leafs Select Korostelev 185th Overall

With the 185th pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, the Toronto Maple Leafs selected Sarnia Sting RW, Nikita Korostelev.

Korostelev is the 42nd player in Sarnia Sting history to be drafted by an NHL franchise. Other 7th round picks to mention include Trevor Letowski ('96), Tom Brown ('96), Nick Tuzzolino ('05) and Chris Berti ('00).

Nikita was originally drafted 9th overall by the Sarnia Sting in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection. In his rookie season, the Russian-born winger recorded 17 goals and 21 assists for a total of 38 points. Last season, Korostelev led the Sting with 58 points; including a team-high 24 goals.
