Storm Make More Moves

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that goaltender Drew MacIntyre has been recalled by the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. Also today, forward Bracken Kearns was returned to the Storm from the Cleveland Barons of the AHL. Finally, goaltender Logan Koopmans was activated off injured reserved.

MacIntyre heads back to the AHL after posting his second shutout of the season last night against Trenton (4-0). Drew had started 19 consecutive games for the Storm prior to today's call up. For the season, Macintyre has a 20-7-2 record with a 2.11 goals against average (GAA) and a .925 save percentage (SVP). Both Drew's GAA and SVP rank second among all ECHL goaltenders.

Bracken Kearns returns to the Storm following a one game appearance with Cleveland. Bracken continued his strong play with Barons, collecting an assist in his first AHL game. Kearns leads Toledo in points with 58 (29g, 29a). His point total places him fourth among first year pro players in the ECHL. Bracken also is tops on the Storm in goals and is second among rookies with 29.

Logan Koopmans was placed on the IR on December 6, 2005. The second year Storm goaltender was 4-1-2 when he was injured. Logan has a 3.19 GAA and a .912 SVP on the season and has one shutout this season (November 11 3-0 against Wheeling). Last season with the Storm, Koopmans was 12-10-1 with a 2.82 GAA and a .906 SVP with 2 shutouts.
